Our 2023-24 Faculty

Marie- Yseult Leger started her dance training at the age of six and at sixteen began her pre-professional training at the world renowned school: Les Grands Ballet Canadiens of Montreal with a full scholarship. 

​

Due to her great charm and immense artistic talent, Ms. Leger began her successful career by being invited to join Les Grands Ballets Canadiens Dance Company for their annual Nutcracker performance tour in Quebec and Montreal. She then went on to join the acclaimed dance company Ballet Eddy Toussaint de Montreal, and began her true professional career as a member of the company, dancing solo roles in many original choreographies.

Ms. Leger has also performed in several television series' for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and was the first dancer to receive a scholarship at the world-renowned Ludmilla Chiriaeff Foundation.

Her professionalism is unsurpassed. With her grace and positive, confident attitude, she has also become a much sought-after fashion and television/film model and star in North America and Europe. 

​

Renowned for her ingenious dance interpretations throughout many countries, Marie-Yseult Leger was offered a prominent position with the Sarasota Ballet of Florida in 1990. She has dazzled audiences every season and danced alongside well-known Russian artists from the Bolshoi Ballet. Ms. Leger's versatility is unsurpassed in the dance world. Dance critics have raved over her performances and she has been honored with standing ovations many times.

Her success is due to many hours of intensive work she has spent in pursuit of her artistic and professional goals in dance. Her dedication to the world of dance has prompted her to share her knowledge with our dancers at Mystical's Dance Company, for the last 7 years.  Ms. Yseult Leger can't wait to start her 8th Season of dance with us and strives to teach her knowledge and passion of ballet with all our dancers. 

Originally from Estonia, Martin received his ballet training at Miami Valley Ballet Theatre, Virginia School of the Arts and then De La Arts Dance Company. He went on to receive his BFA with an emphasis in Ballet at the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music. While in college in performed the lead in ballets like Don Quixote, La Bayadere, Twyla Tharp's The Storyteller and original works by CCM faculty. Post college Martin went on to dance professionally with BalletMet in Columbus Ohio under the direction of Edward Laing. He continued dancing with BalletMet for seven seasons and danced with Nashville Ballet under the direction of Paul Vasterling for one Season. His professional repertoire includes classical and contemporary works by Michael Pink,  Jerome Robbins, Christopher Wheeldon, Edward Liang, Ohad Saharan, George Balanchine, Val Caniparoli, Alexander Ekman, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Gerald Charles, James Kudelka, Jimmy Ornate, Brian Enos, Ma Song, Paul Vasterling and Twyla Tharp. Martin has also served as ballet and contemporary dance faculty at numerous schools such as BalletMet Academy, De La Arts Dance Company, CCM Dance Prespatory School, International Ballet of Florida and the Diane Partington School of Classical Ballet amongst others. In the spring of 2022 he and his fiancé Kate Flowers co-founded a professional dance company, Azara Ballet, with a mission to focus on mental health, body positivity and inclusion. He continues to dance, direct, teach and choreograph as his passion for this art is ever expanding. He hopes to passion his love for dance to as many students and dance enthusiasts of Mystical's Dance Company as possible.
