THE DANCE HAUS STUDIO POLICIES

1. Registration & Payment

• Registration Fee: A non-refundable fee is due at the time of registration.

• Tuition Payments: Due monthly. Late payments may incur a $20 fee.

• Refunds: No refunds for missed classes or early withdrawal.

• Trial Classes: FREE for first class, any additional trial classes are $5 per class

2. Attendance & Make-Up Classes

• Attendance: Regular attendance is expected to ensure progress.

• Make-Up Classes: Offered for absences

3. Dress Code

• Ballet: Leotard, tights, ballet slippers, hair in a bun.

• Hip-Hop: Comfortable clothing, clean sneakers.

• Tap/Jazz: Dance-wear and appropriate shoes.

• Minimal Jewelry: For safety reasons.

4. Classroom Conduct

• Respect: Students must show respect to instructors and classmates at all times.

• No Food or Drink: Only water bottles allowed in studio areas.

• Phones: Must be turned off or silenced during class, and not brought into class.

5. Parent & Visitor Policies

• Observation: All parents can view their dancer through our peek windows, and on our front lobby TV screen 

• Drop-Off/Pick-Up: We ask that students are dropped off and picked up close to their scheduled class time.

6. Health & Safety

• Illness: Please do not attend if sick.

• Injury Waiver: Parents must sign a waiver acknowledging the risk of physical activity.

• Emergency Contact: Must be updated and accurate.​

7. Communication

• Studio Updates: Sent via email or posted on studio board, social media, BAND App

• Contacting Instructors: Prohibited. All communication must go through studio.

8. Social Media & Photos

• Media Release: Studio may use student photos/videos for promotional purposes unless a written opt-out is provided.

• Online Conduct: Positive representation of the studio is expected.

9. Studio Closures & Weather

• Scheduled Closures: The studio follows a set calendar of holidays and breaks.

• Inclement Weather: The studio does not automatically close due to inclement weather, even if schools are closed. A decision will be made based on road and parking lot conditions. Notifications will be sent via email and posted on social media.

• No Refunds for Weather-Related Absences: Make-up classes may be arranged when possible.

10. End of the Year Recital 

• Participation: Optional for recreational dancers, but highly encouraged. Sign-up is required by the posted deadline. Company dancers must attend. 

• Costumes: Additional fees required and non-refundable once ordered.

• Rehearsal:: Mandatory for those participating in our end of the year Recital.

• Recital Package Fee: A non-refundable recital package fee is required for each participating student. This fee typically includes:​

  • Recital T-shirt

  • Participation medal or award
